Rolex Quickset Date/Datejust. 1.Wind the watch. 2.To change the date, pull the crown out to the first notch. If adjusting a men's watch, twist the crown clockwise, and twist counter-clockwise for a ladies' watch. 3.Move the crown out to the last position to change the time on the Rolex watch.

I would suggest to go to your local Rolex dealer and try a few on. 28mm is too small, 31mm+. Since you say your considering purchasing I'm thinking you haven't tried any on for size. You see, Rolex makes a "mistake" (sorry to say it!) by making sure that the date changes EXACTLY at midnight, but ONLY when you advance the hands MANUALLY via the winding crown!
